Minnie was my son's show heifer. She's more than earned her place here on our Donor page. She is one of the easiest keeping cows we have. She is efficient and is easy doing. She is thick bodied while maintaining a very feminine front end, and she passes this on to her calves. They have been thick and wide and come with some style that only an insight daughter can produce. She passes her beautiful phenotype on to her calves. She is one of the most docile cows I've had the pleasure of working with and her calves don't fall far from the tree. She is good milking, Stands on a solid foot, and has a nice square udder. We flushed her to Sky High, Wingman, and BR Midland She has also had a natural born calf by brilliance. We bred her back to our son of Charlo and we are very excited about the outcome of this cross. After calving this spring we plan to take her back to the donor pen where we will breed her to Atlantis, and Defiance for sure. This cow has really impressed me at every turn, and with her first bull calf on the ground and looking phenomenal as a yearling and her ET calves making a statement, we know she has what it takes to make a top donor and producer here.

Goose is a big stout calf who came into this world with one of the stoutest set of hips I've ever seen on a calf. He is already big and bold and has a presence that can't be denied. With his mother being our lovely 1908 insight daughter, we look for him to have purpose not only as a herd sire, but possibly as a show calf sire. My son is determined to show this calf as a bull. I think he has the possibility of being successful doing just that, and as stout as he is he could very well sire some very nice angus steers. We will see how he grows out. He is everything we hoped he would be and now to watch him grow into his role. I cannot wait to get photos of him this spring all slicked off and clipped. He is by far one of the fanciest bulls we've ever owned and is going to post the growth numbers to prove it.

Spectre is a winter born calf that is going to be the next really nice show calf sire we have here. He is pretty necked, stout and correct through his hips and clean up front. He should develop the mass and muscle as he grows to make a really cool bull. He's kinda been on the back burner as we have zero desire to sell him and with us planning on keeping him we're no super worried about it. As he approaches a year old I"m hoping to get updated photos he only get more impressive with age. He has a modest birth weight, and he seems to be able to bring the growth. With good growth numbers he should be able to go on and make really nice cows as well as be something we can use to further our show cattle program while the kids are still here. After they are gone if he is still around, I wouldn't hesitate to use this power packed bull on any of our heifers.

There are high hopes for this little heifer. She is out of my favorite donor 1908 or Minnie. Minnie has been a standout phenotypically since she arrived here, and she just keeps getting better. Her earlier flushes were geared towards more show type cattle for the kids, but with their explosive growth, easy fleshing abilities and depth we couldn't help but try her on some more production type bulls with outstanding results. This heifer is going to follow right along in her mother's footsteps. She has a little more growth and bone and production bred in than her mother, and we hope that she will continue to improve on all of her mother's good points and add to them. BR Midland is an old bull, but he has some growth, a standout phenotype and has proven himself as a producer of cows that go on to produce great cattle. We hope that this heifer continues in her mother's footsteps and continues to provide us with outstanding mothers and eventually can enter the donor pen.
